Paua Abalone Shell Fountain - Rollerball Pen

This Fountain / Rollerball Pen was designed with the discriminating pen collector or corporate executive in mind. The highest quality components are used, and the pen boasts intricate hand-carved patterns that are richly accented in 22k gold on the cap, center band, and barrel ends.  The pen barrel and cap are handcrafted from Mexican Green Abalone shell.  The pen is designed to either function as a rollerball or a fountain pen as desired by changing out the nibs included.  

This pen is made with beautiful natural Paua Abalone called Mexican Green. It comes from a species native to California and Mexico. Black accents along with flashes of pinks blues and purples create a dramatic effect in this ivory-colored Abalone.  The shell is harvested and cleaned and the most beautiful part of the shell is used in jewelry and other applications that call for a stunning iridescent material. The Paua is cut into thin strips, then ever so delicately each strip is meticulously hand-applied onto the pen tube. It is then cast in clear polyester resin to enhance and protect its' beauty.
